Shoulder pain and doctor wont order xray?

my son has shoulder pain dull ache by the blade area,,,,,took him to the doctor she made him bend over and said it wasnt the spine or vertebrae because he can bend with no pain...and that it wasnt fractured cause it would hurt when lifting the arm. so she said she didnt want to do an exray at my demand..i was worried about it being a rib maybe too cause he body slammed himself on the futon that was barely covered....anyway she told him to return to school and no big worries that it is only a sprain,,,he has had this for 5 days now should i just take him to chiropractor and have exray to be safe.....
