Question about Dorm Room... Help!!?

Ok so I ended up choosing a single dorm room for next year. And my boyfriend stays over alot, so I'm planning on buying a futon so we can have a "full" bed in the room. Here's my question, though... since it's a single and I won't have much room, does a college allow you to like take your bed out of your room and store it in your building? I really want a futon, but don't know what to do with the bed since I won't really be using it. Thanks!!
