Twin Bed Vs. Futon convertible Bed?

I just got a new room because my older brother moved out and is going to college. I get to have his room now and we are going to do something else with my room. I have a twin bed that i really dont like anymore i have had it for a about 3 years. The room is really small and i have to fit a coffee table, computer desk, and my bed inside it so i wanted something else because my bed takes up a lot of space. I have already found a nice futon that converts into a bed. I do not know what to do because i have heard futons are really uncomfortable and u have to make your bed EVERY night. plus my twin bed is kinda babyish and im getting older. Ill be 14 in a month so i wanted somethin more mature looking. Does anyone have a futon? Is it comfy? If you could tell me some pros and cons of switching to a futon i would appreciate it. So do you think i should change or stay with my old one?
