What is the best way for a quiet and reserved guy to get a girlfriend?

I am 27 now and I spent almost my whole life single. I don't feel comfortable approaching women and expressing interest without feeling like a phony. is there a no BS way for me to find success and still be able to live with myself as a person? What I mean by that is, not acting against my character which is reserved with cynical views.
